Cru Pinot Noir, Monterey County

2019 is emerging as a very good year for Pinot Noir. The fussy grape is a winemakers challenge even in the best of times and it is so nice to find several good Pinots ready to enjoy.

This Pinot Noir from Cru Winery out of Monterey County was an easy to drink beauty. It had everything you want in the varietal- softer tanins, pretty light garnet color and tasting notes of cherry, pomegranate and raspberry. It would hold up well against spicy dishes as well as light salads/pastas.

Price point is under $20.00, so it is easy to have a few on hand. Should also age well for a few more years. Cheers!
