A Bogle Love Affair

This wine, this winery and their wine, hold a very special place in my heart. I have never been to the winery itself- bucket list someday. But that is not the story. I digress.

When I was first really dipping my ‘toes’ into the wine world, our family had just made a move from our native CA as a life change. We were new to our little town and decided to venture out one evening. Downtown- and I mean one traffic light type downtown- we discovered a little wine bar nestled across the street from a historic wooden church.

We ordered an appetizer plate and this bottle of wine. It was a night of musical play alongs with the entertainment (I think I played slide whistle or something like that) and much laughter. And this wine. It was wonderful then and continues-14 years later- to be as wonderful. The wine bar is long gone and our little town has grown but the joy this Petite Sirah brings never changes.

It is light and airy, pairs well with everything. The Bogle family also have a decent Pinot Noir and other offerings. Price point is still under $20.00 and available at local markets/ wine retailers.

Thank you for the precious memories, Bogle Family Vineyards! Cheers!
